Our Commonwealth Attorney refuses to prosecute crime, especially sex offenders. Now his biggest fan wants to be the new Supervisor from Dranesville.
Dangerous Philosophies
“The Virginia Police Benevolent Association didn’t endorse me because of my experience as a politician. I don’t have any. At least in part, they endorsed me because of Jimmy Bierman’s experience working against police.”
The young woman sat sobbing in the courtroom as she listened to the plea deal the Commonwealth Attorney for Fairfax County had cut with her molester.
Once the plea deal was announced, the judge apologized. He told the distraught young woman, “you have been victimized twice, once by the man who sexually abused you, and the second time by the prosecutors who handled your case.”
In July, 2021, Ronnie Reel was arrested for sodomy and assault on an 11 year old boy. Ronnie confessed to police. His case was plea bargained to a misdemeanor and Reel was released for time served.
This time last year, Troy Reynolds drove a school bus with 44 kindergartners into a ditch while under the influence. Rather than the felony sentence he might have received, the Commonwealth Attorney’s office plea-bargained the case to one year in prison.
These are only three examples of Steve Descano, Fairfax County’s prosecutor, refusing to prosecute criminals or plea bargaining major felonies to minor misdemeanors. There are many more.
It’s one reason crime is up in Fairfax County and we are no longer the safest big county in America. It’s also why police are retiring or fleeing to greener pastures. Today we have nearly 300 vacancies on our police force.
But Steve Descano isn’t the only pro-criminal, anti-victim politician on the ballot next Tuesday, Nov. 7th.
Jimmy Bierman is the immediate past Chair of the Police Civilian Review Panel, and he is Descano’s protege and biggest supporter.
Jimmy Bierman is running for Fairfax County Supervisor from the Dranesville District.
And like Steve Descano, Jimmy Bierman says that qualified immunity gives police too much protection from law suits by criminals. Qualified immunity protects police from law suits filed by criminals so long as officers obey the law.
We have to face the fact that certain philosophies are more dangerous than others when it comes to the fight against crime.
Steve Descano’s and Jimmy Bierman’s philosophy has led to fewer police, a 100% turnover of attorneys in the prosecutor’s office, and a dramatic increase in criminals roaming our streets freely.
It’s a philosophy supported by George Soros and anti-police radicals all over America.
And it’s a philosophy that’s making our lives, and the lives of our children and families far more dangerous.
The Virginia Police Benevolent Association didn’t endorse me because of my experience as a politician. I don’t have any. At least in part, they endorsed me because of my opponent’s experience working against police.”
